Robert Keatts is first and foremost a Christ-follower, surrendering his life to the Lordship of Christ Jesus as a teen. His life verse is Galatians 2:20,
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Robert’s passion is to study the Word of God and through a teaching, preaching, and discipleship ministry lead others to grow in their understanding of God’s Word. He desires to see God’s people develop a passion for studying and applying God’s Word in their lives so they may live out a Biblical world view and thereby go and make disciples.
Robert is also a husband, dad, pastor, and mentor. In 1995, he married his best friend and sweetheart, Shelley.
Robert and Shelley are blessed with four daughters and two son-in-laws.
Robert loves his family and enjoys spending time with them, whether playing games, taking walks, traveling, or just hanging out and talking. Robert also enjoys biking.
Robert earned his Master of Divinity degree from
Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA, in 2008, and his Bachelor of Science degree from
Columbia Bible College (now
Columbia International University) in Columbia, SC, in 1995. Through the years he has had the opportunity to serve as a Church Planter and Pastor. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Robert has also served as a leader in local Baptist associations, as a consultant and mentor to local churches, and the Treasurer of the 2023 SBC Pastor's Conference.
